Bio

Bob has 37 years of experience handling Rhode Island and Federal Longshore workers’ compensation claims for individuals who are injured or become ill due to their job. Bob also represents people who suffer personal injuries or catastrophic personal injuries due to another party's negligence. He also represents people seeking Social Security Disability benefits and advises individuals in the area of Estate Planning.

Bob has extensive experience helping people with medical conditions such as serious brain injury, paralysis, chronic regional pain syndrome (CRPS / RSD), lung disease/asbestosis, and permanent back and neck injuries, among many others.

In addition to representing injured people under the Rhode Island and Federal Longshore Workers' Compensation Acts, Bob also practices under the Federal Defense Base Act and the Federal Non-Funded Instrumentalities Act.

Education & Professional Memberships

Bob graduated Cum Laude with his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Providence College, and received his Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law. He is on the Board of Governors of the R.I. Association of Justice, and is a member of the American Association of Justice, the Rhode Island Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Bench Bar Committee, and the Workplace Injury Litigation Group, a nationwide association of employee workers' compensation representatives.

On top of his regular legal work, Bob is often requested as a public speaker regarding workers' compensation and other legal areas and was recently one of the authors of "A Practical Guide to Workers' Compensation in R.I.". He is also a member of the Crestwood Country Club where he is a past president and long-time member of the Board of Governors. For many years he was a coach of Little League softball and baseball as well as CYO basketball. Bob resides in Barrington, Rhode Island with his wife and three children.
